ABOUT ME...

I am a personal trainer and strength and conditioning coach specialising in pregnancy and postpartum fitness and exercise.
My passion for working with women during these chapters sprung from my own personal experiences of navigating fitness, in particular, crossfit and weightlifting whilst pregnant and then my struggles to return to the activities i love after the birth of my daughter. The more i learnt and worked with women trying to stay fit and recover their fitness, the more stories and experiences that were shared with me, the more i realised there was a huge gap in the fitness industry and the support and training options for women was just not good enough.
Pregnancy exercise advice is hazy and non specific and tends to leave many women just being told to 'listen to their bodies", postpartum the story isnt much better, with many being "cleared to exercise" at their 6 week check, but without being told how to progress and strengthen in an intentional way.
"Pregnancy is temporary, Postpartum is forever..." Brianna Battles
My Speciality lies in helping provide tailored and up to date guidance for women wanting to exercise in a way that supports and honours the amazing changes their bodies go through during pregnancy as well as helping provide the knowledge and bespoke coaching they need to begin recovering and re strengthening in the inital postpartum period.
However, there is a misconception that after a few months, the postpartum period is over. My coaching extends to helping women regardless of how long ago they gave birth, many women find they are still managing pelvic health concerns and lack core strength and stability years after but this is rarely spoken about.

I not only help women to effectively workout through pregnancy and postpartum, i also specialise in helping women continue to persue fitness and sport whilst managing some of the common issues resulting from pregnancy and delivery.
Many issues such as incontinence or leaking with exercise are seen as inevitable consequences of motherhood and many women either stop the activities they enjoy or just deal with the problem, believing they just have to put up with it, but this couldn't be further from the truth.
I frequently work with women who are trying to improve and manage incontinence, prolapse, diastasis recti and other pelvic health concerns whilst still participating in the activities they love.
If you want better, more inclusive and supportive fitness options, delivered in a way that meets you where you're at, takes your individual needs into consideration and helps you continue to persue your goals then id love you to get in touch.

Unsure as to whether i can help you? If you're a mum, you're an athlete...
I've worked with women from all kinds of sporting backgrounds with various different goals, these include:
crossfitters, triathletes, runners, ultra marathon runners, weightlifters, powerlifters, netballers, footballers, kickboxers, climbers, members of the armed forces, occasional gym goers and first time exercisers.
Regardless of your background, my aim is to help you build the confidence, strength and fitness to meet your goals.
WHAT MAKES ME DIFFERENT?
PREGNANCY AND POSTPARTUM ATHLETICISM COACHING
I AM VERY PROUD TO BE A PREGNANCY AND POSTPARTUM ATHLETICISM COACH. I AM PASSIONATE ABOUT IMPROVING THE FITNESS OPTIONS FOR WOMEN DURING THESE CHAPTERS, HELPING THEM RECONNECT, RESTORE AND REBUILD BECAUSE IF YOURE A MUM, YOURE AN ATHLETE.
WITH MORE AND MORE WOMEN WANTING TO STAY ACTIVE DURING PREGNANCY IT IS VITAL THEY HAVE ACCESS TO THE LATEST, EVIDENCE BASED INFORMATION HELPING THEM TO STAY FIT, HEALTHY AND SAFE WHILST ALSO SETTING THEMSELVES UP FOR A SUCCESSFUL RECOVERY POST BIRTH.
WHILST PREGNANT WOMEN ARE FAR FROM FRAGILE, SENSIBLE EXERCISE DECISIONS AND MODIFICATIONS ALONGSIDE STRATEGIES TO HELP KEEP THE CORE AND PELVIC FLOOR MUSCLES STRONG CAN SET THEM UP FOR A SPEEDY RETURN TO THE FITNESS CHOICES THEY LOVE IN THE LONG TERM WHETHER THAT BE CROSSFIT, TRIATHALONS OR CHASING AROUND AFTER THEIR CHILDREN!
UNFORTUNATELY MOST PREGNANCY AND POSTPARTUM PROGRAMMES DONT CATER FOR WOMEN WHO ARE USED TO MORE HIGHER IMPACT TYPLES OF EXERCISE SUCH AS CROSSFIT OR WEIGHTLIFTING ETC. THIS LEAVES WOMEN CONFUSED ABOUT WHAT MOVEMENTS ARE "SAFE" AND WHICH THE SHOULD AVOID.
MANY POSTPARTUM PROGRAMMES FOCUS ON "LOSING BABY WEIGHT" AND "GETTING YOUR BODY BACK". THERE IS ALREADY TOO MUCH PRESSURE ON MUMS TO LOOK A CERTAIN WAY AND SOMETIMES WE LAUNCH BACK INTO EXERCISE WITHOUT TAKING SOME TIME TO REHAB AND RESTORE.
THEY FAIL TO UNDERSTAND THAT POSTPARTUM IS FOREVER AND THAT WOMEN DO NOT JUST "BOUNCE BACK" AFTER THEIR 6 WEEK CHECK.
ALL TOO OFTEN WE NORMALISE OR BRUSH OFF HEALTH CONCERNS SUCH AS INCONTINENCE, PROLAPSE, DIASTASIS RECTI OR BACK AND PELVIC PAIN AS SIMPLY A CONSEQUENCE OF CHILDBIRTH WHEN THERE ARE SIMPLE AND EFFECTIVE STRATEGIES THAT CAN HELP MINIMISE OR EVEN START TO HEAL THESE SYMPTOMS. IMPORTANTLY, EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT EXPERIENCING ANY ISSUES IT IS STILL IMPORTANT TO RESTRENGTHEN YOUR CORE AND PELVIC FLOOR, THIS SETS YOU UP FOR LONG TERM STRENGTH AND FUNCTION.
THIS IS WHERE MY SPECIALTY LIES, AS A PREGNANCY AND POSTPARTUM ATHLETICISM COACH, I TEACH STRATEGIES TO HELP HEAL, REPAIR AND MANAGE CORE AND PELVIC FLOOR CONSIDERATIONS.
I OFFER MODIFICATIONS AND PROGRESSIONS TO HELP YOU STRENGTHEN AND REBUILD MUSCLE IN ORDER TO MEET THE DEMANDS OF MOTHERHOOD.
I ACTIVELY ENSURE MY KNOWLEDGE AND PRACTICE IS UP TO DATE WITH CURRENT RESEARCH.

STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING COACHING
WHETHER YOUR GOALS ARE RUNNING A 10K, DEADLIFTING 80KG, BUILDING CONFIDENCE, FEELING FITTER AND HEALTHIER OR SIMPLY MEETING THE DEMANDS OF YOUR LIFESTYLE I CAN HELP YOU REACH THEM WITH TAILORED PROGRAMMES DESIGNED SPECIFICALLY FOR YOU.
ALL TOO OFTEN I SEE TRAINERS OFFERING QUICK FIX PACKAGES, AIMED AT UNSUSTAINABLE WEIGHT LOSS WHICH DOESNT HELP PEOPLE TO REACH THEIR LONG TERM GOALS.
MY AIM IS TO HELP MY CLIENTS SET SMARTER GOALS THAT HELP THEM ACHIEVE LONG TERM SUCCESS AND RESULTS THAT LAST. I BELIEVE THAT BY EMPOWERING MY CLIENTS WITH CONFIDENCE AND INSTILLING A LOVE OF MOVEMENT AND AN APPRECIATION OF WHAT THEIR BODIES ARE CAPABLE OF IS A MUCH GREATER SOURCE OF MOTIVATION RATHER THAN JUST WHAT THEIR BODY LOOKS LIKE.
AS A COACH I LOVE SEEING MY CLIENTS GROW IN CONFIDENCE AND FEEL ACCOMPLISHED AFTER A SESSION. IT IS WONDERFUL TO SEE WOMEN START TO SEE THE BENEFITS OF REGULAR TRAINING CARRY OVER INTO THEIR EVERYDAY LIFE, HEAR THE COMPLIMENTS THEY START TO RECEIVE FROM FRIENDS AND FAMILY AND TO HEAR THEY LOOK FORWARD TO THEIR SESSIONS WITH ME.
SO IF YOU WANT SOMETHING DIFFERENT TO STANDARD PERSONAL TRAINING SESSIONS, AND INSTEAD WANT TO SEE JUST WHAT YOUR BODY IS CAPABLE OF, GET IN TOUCH AND LETS TALK ABOUT YOUR GOALS.

PREGNANCY AND POSTPARTUM GROUP COACHING
My small group "Strong Mums" courses are the perfect way to begin restoring and reconnecting with your core and pelvic floor muscles, regardless of whether pregnant or postpartum. They are suitable for women of all ages, and fitness levels and provide a positive, supportive space alongside like minded women.
My goal is to provide you with the education and guidance you deserve to help you navigate returning to the activities you love.
All movements are also suitable for managing and starting to heal common pregnancy and postpartum issues such as Diastasis Recti, Incontinence and Prolapse.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY...
Can't recommend Rose highly enough! I was suffering with split tummy muscles from having my daughter and with in 6 weeks, an hour a week, of training with Rose my gap had reduced by 2 fingers ! She is very patient and will work through the movements until you have good form, to get the most out of your exercise.
I have since moved away so can no longer attend sessions with Rose but she is always happy to answer my questions and has even sent me some routines to go through.
I used to suffer with constant backache but now I don't and my posture is so much better.
Honestly if your after a personal trainer you can't go wrong with Rose
I’ve been having sessions with Rose for a while now and I can see such a change in my body and my strength! She’s so lovely and motivating and gave me that extra confidence I needed that I couldn’t find in the gym just by myself. Thank you so much xx
I would highly recommend Rose, in particular to all my friends who have had a baby. She is very knowledgeable about how critical the correct way to exercise during the postpartum period is, and she even manages to make it fun! She is highly motivating and works hard to keep every session interesting and informative. In six weeks I not only noticed a massive change in my appearance, but also in my outlook regarding fitness and a healthy lifestyle. Having never before been to a gym, much less had a personal trainer, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. But I can honestly say the experience has by far surpassed my expectations and I have loved every single session so far. Thanks Rose!
Being a true exercise novice, I was quite nervous about going to a personal trainer. Rose completely put me at ease. She discussed my goals, concerns and outlined an achievable workout plan. I would highly recommend Rose to anyone!
I have been training with Rose now for nearly 4 months and she has planned by sessions to perfectly fit me and my needs. Every session is enjoyable. I would highly recommend Rose
I came to Rose as I wanted to lose weight for my upcoming wedding, but have diastasis recti (ab split) following pregnancy and was worried about making it worse - Rose was the only PT in the area I could find with specific knowledge in this area. I was also a total beginner to working out so had absolutely no idea where to even start! At the first session, Rose listened to all of my concerns and put me at such ease. She explained in detail her vast experience and the sort of thing I would be doing so I knew what to expect. Since then I have been coming to Rose once a week, with each session carefully planned and tailored to me. She has patiently taught me methods to strengthen my core and to manage/start to heal the diastasis and has incorporated general fitness and weight training with it, all of which I have really seen progress with. She also helps with the food and nutrition side, giving me advice and helping me to understand what my body needs. I now no longer want to lose weight just for my wedding; I want to get fitter and stronger to look after my body long term and because I’m really enjoying doing so thanks to Rose
